cold

So, in case you didn't know (or more likely didn't care to know, or didn't even know that you didn't care to know) I like to set myself up in performance situations where I don't really know what's going to happen.

On the def Dumb and Bass site you can hear (and see a pic or two) of me improvising as "manDrum".

Neat. More or less. Sometimes more, sometimes not.

Anyway, for the October edition of the defDumbAndBass fREAKoUT I improvised a song as manDrum. (And, I also felt like I've started understanding how to make my strange little world "flow"... but that's a different story.)

Here are the lyrics to "cold", which I think sounds a little like Michael Stipe singing an outtake from "Fiddler on the Roof" (though, I don't expect others to feel quite that way. Incidentally I caught a cold from the mic I was using, hence the title):

It's my job
to make you think
about life
and time
and how
we will go on...

It's my job
to make you think
about life
and how
we go on
aieeaiaiiiiiiii

aijaijaiuh.

Sometimes, things are distorted
like now, dear

Sometimes, things are distorted
like now

vote.

you get the idea.
